This Project was initially created to put our HCD (Human Centred Design) Methods into practice in the field. We worked alongside Tracy Sutton from Roots Innovation (www.root-innovation.com/) in re-designing Methods cleaning bottles.
From this, I decided I wanted to experiment with how food packaging can be improved to allow a wider audience to be able to interact with certain up market food retailers.
I chose Pret A Manger for their ethics in the production of their products. I wanted to improve upon their existing packaging and make it more inclusive. In addition I wanted to make the packaging 100% recyclable.
I used my HCD Methods to test the design in the field, which consisted of a stand at Falmouth University Campus. Asking passers-by to physically test the design against packaging that is already on market.
